This is the thing worth being clear about before anything else. The sprayer moves liquid and
breaks it into a mist. Everything else, whether a surface ends up clean, disinfected, damp or
damaged, comes down to what you put in the reservoir and whether you followed that product's
instructions.
That is why this page does not tell you the gun disinfects anything. It cannot. A disinfectant
does, at the dilution and contact time its own label specifies.
Read the label before you fill it
Aerosolising a liquid changes your exposure to it, because a mist hangs in the air and gets
breathed. A lot of household and commercial products carry an explicit instruction not to
spray or fog them, and that instruction exists for good reasons: inhalation risk with some
chemistries, flammability with alcohol based ones.
So the sequence is label first, reservoir second. If the label says do not aerosolise, use a
cloth instead.

Do not mist a room that people or animals are in. Treat the space, step out, open a window or
run the extraction, and come back once it has cleared and dried. Doing that also gives most
